Next week we are going to "rip" or dig up the arena at the fairgrounds to eliminate the hard pack layer under the 4"-8" of softer tilled ground above this layer.  We had planned to do this in November but have become aware this needs done sooner.  Our usual solutions of tilling are just gliding across that hard pack layer.  We realize the arena base needs an overhaul and we appreciate your patience as we have lost 11 laborers due to corona virus since March 15, 2020.  We want everyone to be able to use the facility and we want the surface to be safer.  We appreciate everyone who cares for the arena and we want to offer the best product possible.   Thank you for Eric Hansen for bringing this to our attention.  If you ever have a concern please call 928-651-6508

At this point we are still planning on the fair.  Our deadline to proceed or cancel is about September 12, 2020.  At a minimum we plan to proceed with the livestock auction and that board is discussing options for a in person showing and on-line bidding and/or some form of this arrangement.  We are looking at other ways to continue with the other fair exhibits as we know this is very important to residents.  The closer we get we do know that the fair parade has been cancelled and fair carnival games at a minimum have been eliminated.  Stay tuned for more information.  You can always call for the latest at 928-651-6508
